Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place was a pleasant surprise for sure. I went with the boyfriend after work on friday night and it was bustling with activity. The specialty here is their basil. They use fresh basil plants displayed all over the kitchen. The pizza is reasonably priced and extra topping are actually FREE! I got the wild mushroom, arugula, and truffle oil pizza and he got the three meat with mushrooms and fire roasted corn. Everything was around 20 bucks and the service was fast and friendly. I would definitely go back again for lunch or take a couple pizzas home for the family.

Since I love pizza...My mom and I stopped in (she's my pizza partner) and again it is personal style ... The guy who took our order was really cute!! So bonus points there... I order the usual and mom gets a cheese ... We get to teas and go sit .. The pizzas come fast ..so that's a plus!! I can say the ingredients are fresh and the pizza is pretty tasty ... I love pizza and I try a lot out... This pizza is on the healthier side...Something to say about greasy New York style though ....that's how pizza is ment to be ...At least I think ... So to sum it up - the pizza here is the new age of healthy (gluten free if your trying to claim that crap) pizza in America ... I like both... Real true American greasy fatty cheese and healthy more Italian style .... I pie is kinda both...way down wadsworth but a mix of you wanna try that too- thanks hot guy that took our order :) I took a picture of my pie if you care-

Everytime I come in it makes me love this place more! What's better than fresh baked pizza! Great friendly service!

I went here for a dinner on a weekday. The place was totally empty. (could be because of weekday) I had been here specially to have the White pizza with Arugula on it. There were a few pizza doughs already rolled into pizza rounds and waiting to be topped. Hence i cant say if this was fresh... The description of this pizza said "marinated mushrooms" but while eating it didn't seem like it was marinated. They were plain mushrooms slices. So may be there were marinated in "water?" :) After we placed the order, a young guy started making the pizza with White Sauce. He poured the white sauce on the pizza dough from a bottle, and then smelt the bottle and discussed something with another attendant. I don't know what he was checking, but it definitely didn't give me a good feel of whatever was going on. We had been here for the first time, hence were not aware that we have to help ourselves with the plates/spoons/tissues/water The person who took our order didn't inform us either. After we got the pizza we realized that may be its for us to get it. The pizza was not great either. (no seasoning) Also they DO NOT have even 1 hot beverage. It was a very chilling eve, and i was hoping to have any kind of Hot beverage. Im not going here again.!

I really enjoyed my visit to Live Basil over the weekend. After a long day out and about, and some indecision about dinner, we decided to head over to 104th and Federal. We got there just in time, as there was no line when we talked in, but shortly after the place is packed. The set up is pretty efficient - pick up a menu, decide what you want, order, pay, sit down and they buzz you when the food is ready. Sometimes places like that can be confusing - but this didn't seem to be that way. We went with the Live Basil Margherita and the Carbonara. We both preferred the Carbonara - the red sauce on the Margherita was too garlicky. When it comes to red sauce on pizza, in my mind, the simpler the better. The ham and white sauce on the Carbonara was a great combination - salty and good. What really impressed me about this place was the quality of the food and the price point. We got 2 pizzas, a fountain drink and a glass of wine for just over $20. While I didn't love the red sauce, I can see this as being a good option next time I'm craving some non-traditional pizza. There are definitely a couple of other things on the menu I'd like to try.
(4)Eric J.
Just drove halfway across town to get pizza and they were out of dough. No one told us until we finally went to order. Ruined their chances with us.
(1)Mandi M.
Since my last post this place has since dropped the vegan pizza from the menu. They still carry the vegan cheese but it costs almost $13 for a 10" pie. Seems not totally worth it
(2)Lisa L.
Love this place and how different it is from the other chain pizza places. The pizzas are made to order in front of you with fresh ingredients. Then baked in a fire oven. The options are endless. I always create my own. This time I had red sauce, goat cheese, Italian sausage, green chiles and arugula. Amazing! Nice addition to the area!
(5)Melissa H.
Live Basil has some different pizza options from your standard selections. Of course you can still make your own, but if you can't decide from the multitude of topping options then one of Live Basil's selections won't disappoint. The wild mushroom pizza was very mushroomy if you're a fan of that. Delicious. My only complaint was my dinner date had a spicy meat pizza that was way too greasy. However, that was probably due to the combination of meats & cheeses on it. Unless you are hungry - a single pizza is large enough for two. In addition to well made pizzas you can have your choice of Boylan's FOUNTAIN drinks! No HFCS here.
(4)Peter H.
Been here a few times now and they are consistently delicious. Whether it's the vegetarian pizzas or the natural 3 meat, you can taste the fresh ingredients. They grow their own basil in house and it's a really nice touch! They even have vegan options. The line is really friendly and efficient too! Takes less than 10 mins for your pizza to be ready.
(4)Kristin M.
The ingredients are fresh, but the pizza is not good enough to put up with the consistently bad service. Everything there has gone downhill since the day they opened. The crews of young girls they've had working there over the past several months act like you are inconveniencing them when you come in to order. It's not worth the hassle.
(1)Jasmine T.
Pros - gluten free pizza option. Cons - tiny portions, slow service (with lots of workers) and high price. They barely put on sauce and toppings and it seems like most of the workers stand around doing nothing. I can make a better GF pizza at home for 1/3 of the price.
(2)Bobbi G.
So many violations occurred this evening. A small baby was behind the counter in the food area AND near the oven being held by a young woman. The woman opened several food containers while holding the baby. AND the baby seat was left on the counter where the food was being prepared. Unsanitary for the patrons and unsafe for the baby!!!!
(1)Rick H.
The place is nice but was completely empty at lunch time which is not a good sign. Being the only two people in a place the staff acted bothered that we were there. I guess they wanted a completely empty restaurant. So the concept menu and pizza was good. But the sullen staff either needs some serious customer service training or to be replaced with people that want to deal with the public. Bcs the pizza was good I will try and again and hope for a better customer service experience.
(3)Johnathon B.
Heard about this restaurant from a friend a couple months ago. Never got around to trying it out until today. I am very happy that we did! I love pizza and enjoy the oven baked style thin crust. Live Basil does that! The ingredients used are fresh and your pizza is made right in front of you. You can choose from one of their own creations or choose to make your own from a personal menu. I opted to try out two of their pizzas...I eat a lot, sadly, but makes for fun times! The pizza size itself is about the size of a regular medium pizza from most pizza places. I think like 10-12 inches. I got The Hot One and the Rocky Mountain Pizza. The Hot One had a red sauce with Italian cheese blend, natural pepperoni, spicy giardiniera, red pepper flakes and spicy oil. The Rocky Mountain pizza had a red sauce, fresh mozzarella, bacon, hatch green chile, and red onion. These pizzas were super delicious and pretty healthy! They were exactly to my liking and I felt good eating them. I would definitely come back to try the other pizzas! Highly recommended!

I guess the "Mean Girls" staff rules. Spoke with manager who didn't seem overly concerned and didnt bother to respond to my emails until I sent several after she asked me for more info on my experience. That was adding insult to injury. Talked to corporate who said it was being addressed and sent me a couple coupons. We went 3 times and bought 8 pizzas. 3 of those were good 2 were burned and one had a hairball. A couple coupons doesn't make up for that or the managers indifference. We MAY go to another location but none are near us but we won't go back to this one unless they get new staff. They couldn't tell me that was or wasn't happening so won't go back to that location. Not sure if the others are managed better. I worked for a national popular food change in marketing and this is not how you grow stores and a brand. This is how you go out of business.
(1)Jackie T.
Delicious pizza! Definitely a nice change from the regular chains. I would go definitely go back!
(4)Daphne S.
I love the format of this restaurant and the food is delicious but why so chintzy on the amount of fresh basil on the pizzas???
(4)Austen H.
I love love love live basil pizza. I really like pizza anyways but to go in and get the pizza that they make right there in front of you and knowing the basil is so fresh just makes this place better. I always try the pizza they are doing for the month. There is no way that you can be disappointed with something here. If you want a great pizza that isn't a mass produced pizza well you need to head on over to Live Basil...
(5)Josh L.
I used to love Live Basil. The menu was awesome, & good quick pizza. The service has been touch & go with the young staff. As of late, the menu has been simplified (read: my favorite pie is now gone.) My pizza today had a fantastic suprise of a wad of hair. I am rather grossed out now and probably won't be back. Such a shame, I really liked Live Basil.
(1)Lori J.
3 Stars from 2.5 people Options galore! It was our first time, we were prepped with Yelp info and we arrived just past the dinner rush hour. We order: He went all 'L-seven' and got a pepperoni pizza, she insisted on a 'nothing but cheese'...I pulled an audible and got a 'Farmer's Market'?. The simpler pizzas were a bigger hit and were really enjoyed by my family members, (but they do 'enjoy' a frozen Tombstone). The vegetables were abundant and tasty but the center of the Farmer's Market was flimsy (saturated). ...So it ended up being: 30 bucks for 3- okay, not great, meals at a table, sitting on an affixed stool while slammed next to Mr. Funky Brewster and his fam. We bought the hype, we went and now decided there are too many other local joints serving pizza/salad for us to return to Live Basil anytime soon. *BUT if you are planning a trip, be sure to order and then go have a seat on the patio or if they are busy, just take it home with you.
(3)Steve E.
Like any pizza place the pie you build is a double edged sword. Could be good could be bad. I don't really know what one could expect from a gluten free pizza. That being said I really liked "The hot one". Could not finish it all and it reheated great. Filled me up without that icky im too full off of pizza feeling. I'll go back for sure.
(5)Sarah S.
WHY does this place have 4 stars? Do you people have no taste buds? Seriously the gf crust is the worst I've ever had. I might as well have eaten cardboard. The toppings, especially the sauce, is flavorless. I'm convinced that all these reviews are either from employees or zombies who have no tastebuds.
(1)Katie R.
While it is always nice to see gluten-free options at restaurants, the appreciation ends when said gluten-free crust tastes like cardboard. Not only was it incredibly unappetizing, but it was cooked to a literal crisp. It was more like biting into a hard cracker than pizza crust. It was disappointing to say the least. My husband and I ordered a white pizza (carbonara with no ham or cracked pepper) and a pepperoni - both gluten-free. We ate them, but I can't say I really enjoyed them. I would give this place another shot if they would come up with a better gluten-free crust recipe.
(2)Erin T.
The pizza here is amazing. I love the sizes, the gluten-free option (which is really good), the crazy amount of veggies on the pizzas, organic soda, and the compostable drinks cups. We bought two and brought them to my friends' house, which elicited a lot of "Wow, that looks really good!" responses. I do suggest the Live Basil extend their local foods and healthy lifestyle by providing recycling and composting. Definitely coming back!
(4)Jeffrey C.
Utterly amazing! Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! The basil plants on the line were love at first sight! Free pizza today??? Are you kidding me? I'll be back and willing to pay... Double what their asking!!! Nice folks and awesome food. Don't miss this one!
(5)Doug Y.
A much different experience than we had when we went for a yelp event that wowed us at the South location. The concept is sound. Use better quality ingredients, keep the price point low, and have a gourmet-ish selection of ingredients available and that is still delivered but this pizzeria still is what it is. A fast food environment manned by a very young staff that I don't believe has the desire to put heart into what they are doing and that always shows in the product regardless of the "well laid plans". It's "A-OK" is a good way to describe the food and the experience. Not a place "I'm a fan" of or not even close to "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" but a reasonable price and a decent product made with quality ingredients works, A-OK.
(3)Steven W.
Interesting trip to get my fried chicken fix and checked out the GRAND OPENING :) of Live Basil Pizza. Everything is right in front of you as they prepare your Pie. I had a truffle mushroom on white sauce and it was pretty tasty. The pie was cooked in a fired oven which is a nice touch even thought it wasnt wood fired it was cooked crispy .. the way I like it. The pie was around 8 bucks which I thought was reasonable given my ingredients and it was just enough to leave me satisfied. I am heading back soon to try another pie and see if its really as good as the first trip indicated!
(4)Kimberly B.
We ordered live basil pizzas. And we ate a few pieces. We noticed a piece of hair baked into the pizza. Not cool....
(1)Tana M.
We really like this place. The pizza is good, salad is great and price is right. It is just too small inside. They need more family seating. We have a new baby and a tween and the last few times we have gone we haven't been able to eat there cause the only 2 family tables where taken. When we take it home it is cold by the time we get there. The bar stools are not good for car seats or high chairs.
(3)Sheena H.
Okay I have been here twice now. First visit they were having different issues left and right. A lady came up with plastic in her salad. Then another lady called in a order and was made the wrong pizza, so she was forced to wait around longer for them to remake the correct pizza. Now while this was all going on they forgot my pizza and it was burned to a crisp. They remade my pizza which I appreciate but I ended up waiting around for a total of 30 minutes. They did try to make everything right and gave me a free pizza coupon for my next visit. When I called in my order for my free pizza I was told it would be a 25 to 30 minutes wait. No biggie. When I got there 25 minutes latter my pizza was already ready so I got my food and left. When I got home (I live less than 1/4 of a mile away) my pizza was cold and missing it's live basil. I want to like this place but I cannot get past all the problems I have come across in my two visits. Please fixes your timing issues I like the pizza :(
(2)Chirs C.
This place would be 100 times better if they offered fresh garlic on their pizza as a topping. Not processed garlic, real, freshly chopped garlic. It doesn't get any better than a tomato garlic and basil pizza. They show garlic on the front page of the website. I called down there and Adam who was very nice informed me that garlic was in the red sauce. Come on now. I'd expect that, what I want is fresh garlic on my pizza. That is all. Other than that the pizza is pretty good, this coming from a guy from Boston that knows real pizza. GARLIC!!!
(4)Patricia G.
Great pizzas... Just would recommend that when a customer wants extra on their pizza, and they keep asking for more... Don't be so conservative if the customer is willing to pay for it.
(4)Sarah V.
It's not just a name, they actually have live basil growing behind the counter. They pick it right off and throw it on your pizza. It doesn't get any fresher than that! This place is similar to Chipotle in the fact that you go through the line and choose what you want on your pizza and then they make it for you. The crust is very fresh tasting and a good texture. They are expanding across the metro area, so look out for one in your area. They make their sauce in house, and the produce for the pizza is sourced locally when possible. I love that!
(4)Deb L.
Several of my girl friends highly recommended LBP, so the husband and I finally tried it out yesterday for lunch. I had the arugula truffle mushroom and he had the chicken pesto. For $20, that was an awesome deal for great, fast pizza. Delicious, thin crust, plentiful toppings. We both had two slices left to take home. Staff was polite and fast, and even asked the manager a question for me if there are nuts in the pesto (there isn't). We will definitely be back!
(4)Eden R.
Like the concept of Live Basil, the pizza was quick and pretty good. Thought the price point was excellent for what you get. Will definitely be back.
(4)Louise B.
I went there for the first time yesterday. The food is delicious, but the workers couldn't care less about their jobs. A little pricey, but I liked that I could add as many toppings as I wanted on to the build your own pizza without being charged extra. (Extra cheese is more if you want that.)
(4)Melanie V.
Now this is a pizza I can really enjoy. My favorite is the margherita, but I have also enjoyed the mushroom&arugula, and the spicy one (it is really spicy). I love the size and freshness. This is a truly authentic pizza and the topping selection is great! The only criticism I have is the seating, most of the tables are super high and uncomfortable.
(4)Allison M.
What a find! I'm so glad this place opened up shop by us - the name doesn't lie, there is actually live basil growing in the restaurant for use on your pizza. The ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible, and they make your pizza right in front of you as you order it. I was impressed by the variety of options available - lots of sauce types, cheese types, and toppings... you can order one of their many specialty pizzas, or build your own. I got pepperoni, pineapple, and arugula on mine and it was heavenly. The dough is especially delicious. Loving this Colorado trend of quick-service food that doesn't compromise on quality and freshness.
(5)Matt S.
Everything about this place is great. The ingredients are fresh, the pizza is delicious, the fire oven smells amazing, and the prices are very fair. I am glad to have a such an excellent pizza place in the neighborhood! Food: I had a pepperoni pizza with basil, mushrooms, and olives. My wife had the natural chicken pesto. The thin and crispy crust was one of my favorite parts! Price: Our pizzas, in addition to two sodas, was $20. Service: Service was surprisingly fast (we received our pizzas in less than 10 minutes). Setting: Great music, clean patio, and amazing aromas. Satisfaction: My wife and I left with full stomachs and smiles on our faces!
(5)Michael N.
Really fresh local and natural ingredients make this specialty quick wood fired pizza place a must! There goat cheese is amazing! My favorite thus far, white sauce and pesto, hatch green chili's, Italian cheese and all natural chicken breast.
(5)Samantha B.
This place just opened today and I was so excited since it is right across the street from me. Dropped in for lunch today and the pizza was amazing!! I got the Ricks choice.... Delicious!! Can't wait to try all of the other ones. Everything was super fresh and they make your pizza right in front of you. The dough is perfect so it doesn't make you over full. I guess all of the time they put into making just the right crust and dough paid off :) Also, the atmosphere was right on point. You won't be disappointed!!
(5)Nicole G.
Love this place! Found a coupon on Groupon and decided to give it a try. The signature with mushrooms pizza is my absolute favorite! Never disappointed when we go there!!
(5)Casey C.
Really dig this joint. Dont' remember what I had, but the price was fair, service was quick and pizza was tasty. Don't hesitate to give this place the good ole' college try.
(4)Sarah T.
The pizza is super delicious and pretty quick to cook. However, the service is unfriendly at best and I wish they had a delivery option.
(3)Steve L.
Like the concept they have a la Chipotle, but the pizza is VERY greasy, so much so had to put napkins on top to absorb some of it. Not likely to return as there are much better options around for good, non greasy pizza.
(2)Haley B.
We had the Maui it was delicious. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The crust was thin and crispy. If you are looking for a thick greasy crust this is probably not the place for you. They have natural sodas and the ice tea is not too bad. Our six year old gobbled up his kids pizza and asked for more. Thumbs up and we will be back.
(4)Taggert M.
Really good pizza, the #10 is great. Also like the make your own option. I can't wait to come back and try the #13.
(4)Brock S.
good place. what i would think of as a lunch spot.
(4)Michele T.
Love this take on pizza! It's like Chipotle Goes to Italy! Fresh ingredients, made to order, quick turnaround! Usually I do a make your own....good for control freaks. I don't drink soda, but my husband loves the Boylan's soda in the fountain. Lost 2 stars though for the LOUD atmosphere and the seating! Tall tables with tall stools are too tall for the majority of the population. And the bar against the window has no place to put your feet...they just dangle, and then fall asleep so that when you get up to leave, you can't walk! So the seating choices are very LIMITED to outside in patio chairs or in the 2 normal size tables inside.
(3)Tim S.
Ahh... ok . I had the three meat... I wont get that again. Crust is decent, meat is ok, sauce is actually pretty good. I would rather have Papa Johns.
(2)Lauren T.
Sooo delicious! I had the #1 live basil margherita pizza. Like others said fast, fresh, decently priced and practically in my backyard. It would be 5 stars if they delivered ;)
(4)Angelina H.
I come from Europe and I've been desperately looking for places that serve authentic Italian pizza. I'm so glad I found this place! Their pizza is perfect and very affordable. You can create your own (similar to subways) with 3 toppings and won't have to pay more than $8,50. Very thin but crispy crust. Absolutely delicious!!!
(5)Brittany V.
This place is amazing! Fresh ingredients, organic options. The stove they have to make the pizza is awsome! They make the pizza dough fresh and use local ingredients. So many options you definitely get your moneys worth here! I am so happy with the location as well! Come here for some good Colorado pizza~
(5)Jennifer D.
I was eager to try a new concept from the creators of Smashburger. I had heard of several similar "Chipotle style" pizza concepts popping up, and wanted to give it a try. I recommend ordering one of the signature pizzas and adding toppings to customize to your tastes. The Arugula +Truffle + Wild Mushroom was my favorite, followed by the Hot One, and lastly the Maui BBQ Natural Chicken. Overall a great value for the quality ingredients. The crust was very tasty. Our Colorado Chopped Salad was underwhelming and difficult to eat as it is served on a flat plate, the same used for the pizza. The dressing is served separate, and I prefer it mixed in. You can easily find a better salad elsewhere. The layout and decor are nice. It would be better if they brought your food to the table. Instead, everyone is crowded around the register/drink station waiting to pick up their food. Overall a great value for a quality pizza.
(4)Jeremy C.
I absolutely love this place. I've been to this location twice now and will keep going back. I'm part of their text discount club and was texted a $5 off any pizza deal. Keep in mind that a majority of their pizza is $8.50. I was able to get a whole pizza for $3.50. It doesn't get any better than that. Wait, yes it does. All the ingredients are fresh, including basil so fresh it's picked off of plants growing in the store. They also have Boylen's soda which is gourmet soda. Everything about this place is amazing. I will be back again and again, especially with the deals I constantly get from them.
(5)Dien H.
the white chicken pizza was very palatable and even teasing to the taste buds. great location, space, modern and clean.
(5)b b.
We love this place, great options, good portions and FAST! They have booze and great musac and it's a great alternative when you want to go out and not have to shed a bunch for tips, wait around for food or if you just want to have a pizza to share on the patio. The pizza is always good, even seemingly simple concoctions are really tasty and everything is fresh and organic, so you can feel good about it. Not too much crust, not too much cheese, everything is just right. So far we have had the bbq, the hot one, margarita and we have not been disappointed. Highly recommend this place. Would have been 5 stars if the seating was a little better, but they did the best they could with the space they had. We'll definitely be back.
(4)Brittany R.
If you claim to provide for gluten free then make sure there is first NO cross contamination and don't advertise this gluten free catering if you have a disclaimer stating you do not recommend GF persons to eat there. A waste of gas for a perfect lie!
(1)Tyler R.
I've been saying recently how much I wanted an good pizza place close to home, and this is it. The pizzas were fresh and delicious. They also were at a completely reasonable price for what you're getting. This will be a weekly staple!
(5)Tiger H.
Today was my second visit at Live Basil Pizza. I liked it better this time. I had the Wild Mushroom, Arugula, Truffle pizza and this is the best pizza I have had in a LOOONG time.During my last visit, I had an issue with the center of my pizza; it was a little soggy. This time, the pie was perfect: hot, crispy and with just the right amount of sauce. I will be back soon. Live Basil Pizza is a LOT better than the greasy chain restaurants!
(4)Esther P.
Time Arrived: 7:50 Time in line: Around 10 minutes Time Food was received: 8:10 Ordered:The Hot One and Maui Natural BBQ Chicken Pros: -You're able to pick and choose the toppings or go with the ones they listed on the menu. -One order of pizza is six slices (personal pizza) -Price is great Cons: -The workers didn't know how to work efficiently. People were standing around even though there was a line -Very slow service -Pizza is a decent size. Content, but not full. -A little on the greasy side. It's an okay place. Definitely not at the top of my list though.
(3)James A.
There was nothing wrong with the staff they were all super friendly. My issues came from the taste profile of the pizza. It tasted stale and generic! This came to a surprise to me seeing how they use quality ingredients and make it fresh right in front of you. Maybe I'm a little disappointed that I found and almost bit into what can only be described as a popsicle stick, that they use to track who's order is who. If you were going with two people I can see the value of the money to pay, but just one person doesn't seem to be all worth it...too bland, but that is just me!
(2)Roger B.
Gonna get right to the point with these guys: Pricey--Pretentious--Pizza. Hey, everyone has their tastes, so if you like their pizza, God love you. I expect to pay for something like this in Vegas where everything is over-priced, but usually of high quality. Frozen pizza is more satisfying and WAY easier on the wallet. If you have a home full of hungry mouths to feed, be prepared to buy quite a few of live Basil's pizzas in order to satisfy the hunger. I didn't know whether to eat this pizza or throw it around my back so that my dog could bounce off me to catch it. Yeah---it was small and I could probably eat three of them and then head next door to Chipotle. You want hipster pizza with a sprinkle of attitude? This be the place!
(2)Angie G.
Nice, fresh alternative for pizza. Nice wait staff, comfortable atmosphere. Love the fire ovens! While I had the arugula mushroom pizza, others in my party had the three meat pizza. Pizza comes in two sizes: regular and kid. Also serve wine, beer, sodas. Pizza starts under $10.
(4)Christopher T.
Very fresh ingredients are made to order and baked fast! My barbeque chicken pizza was scrumptious. A better beer selection is the only obstacle between a 4 and a 5 star rating in my book. :)
(4)Ali L.
love this place more than anything!!! addicted!! i would highly recommend the #2 or #12!!! so yum! A must try!!!
(5)Pam M.
Hubby & I tried 3 pizza( wanted to try all...) Colorado, Cabonara, & the HOT one, All GREAT flavor!! Glad they offer a "loyalty club" We will be racking up those points in no time. I personally will be asking for the crust to be a bit more crisp; cooked, but flimsy -toppings fell off when you picked it up, I know this is a new place and learning to cook in fire oven takes some training( little tweaking) so that's why we are looking forward to the next visit & gave this place a 5 star !
(5)Linda L.
Liked the sauce and toppings, cheese good, a little sparse. Crust was flaccid. Good service and price.
(3)Melissa H.
We have been to Live Basil twice and overall had a good experience both times. The taste is new and not nearly as heavy as traditional pizza but its still 'pizza' enough to make your little ones happy. We have ordered items from the pizza menu and well as build your own menu and each was good. The drink situation is non traditional with sugar cane sodas but still tastey. If your in the neighborhood this place is definitely worth a visit!
(4)Jake S.
For what it is, Live Basil is the best artisan pizza you can get for the 9$ price point in the fast casual setting. I took advantage of the 5$ off text coupon tonight with a pick-up order. They were very busy, but my pizza was ready and the staff was polite. The restaurant was also very clean and had a good energy. I will be a customer for life.
(5)Julian L.
Love the Carbanara!
(4)Nicole G.
(4)Brittany V.
This place is amazing! Fresh ingredients, organic options. The stove they have to make the pizza is awsome! They make the pizza dough fresh and use local ingredients. So many options you definitely get your moneys worth here! I am so happy with the location as well! Come here for some good Colorado pizza~
(5)Sarah T.
The pizza is super delicious and pretty quick to cook. However, the service is unfriendly at best and I wish they had a delivery option.
(3)Sarah V.
(4)Michael N.
Really fresh local and natural ingredients make this specialty quick wood fired pizza place a must! There goat cheese is amazing! My favorite thus far, white sauce and pesto, hatch green chili's, Italian cheese and all natural chicken breast.
(5)Sheena H.
GARLIC!!!
(4)Tana M.
(3)Allison M.
(5)Bobbi G.
(2)Rick H.
(3)Holly M.
I pie is kinda both...way down wadsworth but a mix of you wanna try that too- thanks hot guy that took our order :) I took a picture of my pie if you care-
(4)Paige W.
Everytime I come in it makes me love this place more! What's better than fresh baked pizza! Great friendly service!
(5)Johnathon B.

(1)Lan V.
(5)Nisha G.
(5)Kate K.
(1)Sarah S.
(1)Patricia G.
Great pizzas... Just would recommend that when a customer wants extra on their pizza, and they keep asking for more... Don't be so conservative if the customer is willing to pay for it.
(5)Jeremy C.
(5)Steve L.
(4)Tiger H.
(4)Jake S.
For what it is, Live Basil is the best artisan pizza you can get for the 9$ price point in the fast casual setting. I took advantage of the 5$ off text coupon tonight with a pick-up order.
(4)Steve E.

(5)Jasmine T.
Pros - gluten free pizza option. Cons - tiny portions, slow service (with lots of workers) and high price. They barely put on sauce and toppings and it seems like most of the workers stand around doing nothing. I can make a better GF pizza at home for 1/3 of the price.

(1)Nisha G.
(3)Kate K.
(1)Sarah S.
(5)Louise B.
I went there for the first time yesterday. The food is delicious, but the workers couldn't care less about their jobs. A little pricey, but I liked that I could add as many toppings as I wanted on to the build your own pizza without being charged extra. (Extra cheese is more if you want that.)
(4)Doug Y.
(1)Patricia G.
Great pizzas... Just would recommend that when a customer wants extra on their pizza, and they keep asking for more... Don't be so conservative if the customer is willing to pay for it.
(4)Sheena H.
GARLIC!!!
(4)Tana M.
(3)Allison M.
(3)Esther P.
(5)Jeremy C.
(5)Steve L.
(4)Pam M.
(4)Lan V.
